Jumhouria Bank signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Council of Islamic financial institutions CIBAFI 

Jumhouria Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the General Council of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions CIBAFI on the sidelines of its participation in the 14th International Bank Conference.




Jumhouria Bank is the first Libyan bank to sign this memorandum, which aims to activate the framework of cooperation between the two institutions in the field of professional development by training and developing human resources to acquire the basic skills to work in Islamic financial services. Jumhouria Bank is the first bank to become a member of the Board in 2017.

CIBAFI is an international organization established in 2001 and Headquartered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. CIBAFI is affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

CIBAFI represents the Islamic financial services industry globally, defending and promoting its role, consolidating cooperation among its members, and with other institutions with similar interests and objectives.

With over 130 members from 34 jurisdictions, representing Islamic Banks, market players, international intergovernmental organizations and professional firms, and industry associations, CIBAFI is recognized as a key piece in the international architecture of Islamic finance.
