Jumhouria Bank and the Union of Arab Banks organized a workshop on “Modern Applications and Concepts in Banking Risk Management” with the participation of 35 employees.

The workshop took place in Tripoli, with a period of five days from Sunday, 23rd/July/2023, to Thursday, 27th/July/2023.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce the participants to the concept of banking risks and the modern concepts in managing risks, and to familiarize them with the Basel 1 and 3 Accords and the final amendments to the Basel 3 Accord.

The workshop also aimed to participate in practical exercises on banking risk measurement and management systems, and to introduce the participants to their role in managing operational risks and the risks arising from digital transformation, financial technology, and climate change, in addition to introducing the participants to the challenges facing banks in managing climate change risks.

It is worth noting that the workshop lasted for 5 days, with a total of 25 hours of applied practical training.
